Supporting the Trade Counter Manager and a network of external employees, the Trade Counter Assistant will be responsible for assisting with the day to day retail operations of this particular regional store in Trafford Park. The Trade Counter Assistant will be expected to provide a first class customer experience to all Arco’s retail customers, exceeding customers’ needs and expectations. You will also provide quotes, pricing and sell merchandise. Administrative duties will form part of the role along with face to face customer communications and handling any complaints.

The successful Trade Counter Assistant must have excellent merchandising and customer service skills with experience of working in the retail sector. Product knowledge is desirable however not essential as full training will be given. Numerical skills will be used daily for transaction and cashing up activities and knowledge of administration procedures is preferable. A can do attitude and the desire to provide a great customer service experience is an essential requirement of the role. With excellent organisational skills, the successful candidate will also be a natural and confident communicator.

The Trade Counter Assistant role will cover 16 hours per week on rota including Saturdays.

The buyer will ensure the production controller team have a clear understanding of the range to be able to progress the salesman sample programme promptly & to the corporate calendar deadlines, managing through Skype.

The buyer to oversee the sample fabric & garment ordering & will monitor that the PDM sampling critical path is updated to ensure on time delivery of samples. On the run up to the launch written weekly updates must be provided to Snr Management & Imports team on sampling progression, highlighting reasons for any sample delays.



Product Support
Under guidance of buyer manager brief Product Manager on range highlights, technical innovations, new products to generate strong trade & consumer marketing stories.

To be responsible for checking all bullet point info for trade brochures & swing-tickets, cross referencing fabric & garment performance.

Liase with marketing on availability of Photography samples.

Buying / Margin
The buyer is responsible for generating & maintaining all buying programmes to the deadlines set by the Buyer manager. To travel to Asia to carry out face to face price negotiations.
